Late and Missed Appointments

Missed appointments will be charged a $40.00 fee. These fees must be paid prior to rebooking with the clinic except in extenuating circumstances. Please discuss any concerns with reception.

All patients require a valid health card. If one is not available or is being applied for, the patient will need to pay out of pocket for the visit (the cost of which depends on the type of visit).

Harassment Policy

We will not tolerate verbal, physical, discriminatory, or any other form of harassment in our clinic. Patients or family members engaging in this behaviour will be asked to leave the building.

There is a $30 fee for completion of forms, as this service is not covered by the Ministry of Health.

Short Notice

Teaching Center

Please recognize that our physicians work in multiple areas of the healthcare sector. As such, your primary family physician may not be available on short notice for issues such as prescription renewals. It is your responsibility to ensure that your prescriptions are renewed before the prescription runs out.

Our clinic is a teaching center, so trainees may be involved in your care intermittently. You may see Residents or Medical Students at our clinic.

Residents

Medical Students

Residents are physicians who have graduated from medical school, completed the first part of their licensing exams, and are completing their training in family medicine.

Residents will have their own patients booked for the day, and will report to the attending physician if concerns arise. Each patient is reviewed in detail with the attending physician daily. Please notify the Resident if you would like the attending physician to be involved directly at any time.

Medical Students

Medical students are registered with the College of Medicine and are training to complete their medical degrees, and will see patients along with the physician in the same visit. Final year medical students will see patients independently, and the attending physician will be involved in the summary and management plan directly.
